1. Single Adult Shelter

A safe, family-focused environment with private rooms and supportive services for parents and children.


3. The Haven 

I-17 and Northern | Phoenix, AZ 85051

Arizona’s first dedicated shelter for adults 55+, designed with accessibility, dignity, and age-aware care in mind.

Single Adult Shelter

230 S. 12th Avenue | Phoenix, AZ 85007

CASS operates the largest single adult emergency shelter in Arizona, providing a place to stay for hundreds of men and women each night. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the shelter ensures immediate access for individuals experiencing homelessness.


Client at the shelter have access to:


Stable, low-barrier shelter, offering immediate access for those with nowhere else to go


Showers, restrooms, and essential hygiene supplies,

supporting daily care


Nutritious meals served on campus, in partnership with community providers


Personalized case management and housing navigation, helping individuals take steps toward stability


Connections to healthcare, public benefits, and employment resources, supporting long-term success


Our low-barrier approach removes barriers to entry welcoming individuals through a simple intake process and offering access to supportive services when they are ready.


With capacity to serve up to 600 individuals at a time, the shelter provides stability, dignity, and a pathway toward housing for hundreds of neighbors each night.


The Haven

Homelessness among older adults is rising at an alarming rate.
In response to this urgent need, CASS created The Haven Arizona’s first emergency shelter designed exclusively for adults ages 55 and older.



Designed to meet the unique needs of aging adults, The Haven provides:


130 private, non-congregate units, offering safety, dignity, and stability


Age- and accessibility-informed design, creating a comfortable and supportive environment


Comprehensive, wraparound case management, tailored to each resident’s health, mobility, and personal needs


Connections to medical care, behavioral health services, and public benefits, supporting overall well-being


Specialized housing navigation, helping residents secure safe, affordable, long-term housing

Nutritious meals served daily, including lunch and dinner


At a stage in life when stability matters most, The Haven ensures older adults are not left behind providing dignity, safety, and personalized support while helping each individual move toward a place to call home.

Vista Colina Family Shelter

The Vista Colina Family Shelter provides a welcoming environment for parents and children experiencing homelessness.


Families at Vista Colina have access to:


36 private family units, providing dedicated space for privacy, and stability


A food pantry and clothing closet, ensuring access to essential daily needs


Individualized, family-centered case management, addressing the unique goals of parents, children, and the entire household


Support with school enrollment and transportation, helping children maintain consistency in their education


Housing navigation and landlord engagement, guiding families toward safe, stable, long-term housing


Vista Colina is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the impact homelessness has on both parents and children. By providing stability, support, and the tools needed to move forward, the program helps families build a foundation for long-term success breaking the cycle of homelessness for future generations.

Rapid Re-Housing & Prevention

CASS’ Rapid Re-Housing and Prevention programs help individuals and families secure or retain housing preventing homelessness from becoming long-term.


Through these programs, clients have access to:


Short-term rental and utility assistance, helping households maintain stability


Security deposit support, opening the door to new housing opportunities


Case management and tenancy skills training, strengthening long-term independence


Landlord mediation and engagement, helping resolve conflicts and prevent eviction


Benefits enrollment and budgeting support, promoting financial stability


In partnership with the county’s Coordinated Entry System, CASS connects individuals and families to housing resources quickly and efficiently supporting lasting housing stability and a path forward.
