Gifts of Stocks & Securities

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can be one of the most tax-efficient ways to give.

• Avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation.
• Receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of your gift (if you itemize).
• Make an immediate impact on CASS programs and services.

Gifts of Cryptocurrency

CASS gratefully accepts donations of cryptocurrency, which are processed securely through our donation partner.

• Crypto donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.
• Donating directly may reduce or eliminate capital gains tax.
• Your gift helps us deliver critical shelter and housing services while you benefit from potential tax savings.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

If you are 70½ or older, you may donate directly from your IRA to CASS through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

• Counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if applicable.
• Not included in your taxable income.
• Can lower your overall tax liability while supporting a cause you care about.

How to Give:
