Homeless people living in the streets often need engagement and guidance in connecting with appropriate shelter and services. CASS’ street outreach program works in collaboration with critical service providers to go into the streets to encourage homeless individuals to connect to shelter, healthcare and other essential services offered by the Human Services Campus providers. Going to where the homeless live within our communities to proactively reach out and offer services brings hope and help to people who would not have otherwise sought help. This program produces success stories of people who ended their homeless because of the engagement received in the streets.
Our Street Outreach partners include Community Bridges, City of Phoenix Police Department, Lodestar Day Resource Center (LDRC) and Maricopa County Adult Probation.
During extreme weather conditions, CASS works in collaboration with its HSC campus partners to provide additional shelter to all who seek a safe, climate controlled place to sleep. This program ensures that people do not die simply because they do not have a place to go during extreme heat, cold and other severe weather conditions.
